Mark an Opportunity as Confidential when the pursuit should be limited to a smaller group of users. In the full-cloud version of InterAction+ AI, this setting restricts visibility to authorized users only. This task article is intended for users who manage Opportunities, and it can also support administrators.

Important: Before You BeginYou must have permission to edit the Opportunity. See Understand and Configure Opportunity Visibility Rules to learn more. |
Mark an Opportunity as Confidential
1. In InterAction+ AI, go to Pipeline Management.
2. Open the Opportunity that you want to restrict.
3. Find the Confidential toggle. The tooltip indicates that only users with appropriate permissions can view the Opportunity.
4. Turn on Confidential.
5. A confirmation message indicates that only authorized users can now view the Opportunity.
When an Opportunity is marked Confidential, it is visible only to the Opportunity Owner, Other Team Members, and CRM Administrators.
Users with View All do not see a confidential Opportunity unless they are part of the Opportunity team or are CRM Administrators. For unauthorized users, the Opportunity no longer appears on the Opportunity grid, in search, or when adding activities and linking them to Opportunities. The same restriction applies in IA365 and the Mobile app.
Where This Setting Applies
A confidential Opportunity remains restricted anywhere Opportunity visibility rules are enforced in InterAction+ AI, and the same restriction applies in IA365. This includes:
- Search
- Records
- The Opportunity Grid
- When adding Activities and linking them to Opportunities
- Exports
- Dashboards
- Charts
- Chart drilldown
Proxy User Behavior
If a proxy user is acting on behalf of another user, the proxy user sees the same Opportunity visibility that applies to that user.
