It is best practice to reach out to important contacts at least every 90 days. This tile will remind you of how many contacts in your chosen set haven’t heard from you. This creates a "quality over quantity" approach to a more focused and relevant set of contacts to personally reach out to.
You will be asked to link a Working List when you first access InterAction+™ Home. For more information and instructions, refer to Creating a Working List.
When you open Client Insights, you'll see the Important Contacts tile.
-
Click Link a list to open the Add New Working List screen.
- Enter the Name and Description for your Working List, then click Save.
-
The Search and Add Contacts screen will be displayed. Use the Search bar to select the contacts you want to add to your Working List. When you are done, click Add Selection.
The Important Contacts with Low Engagement tile now shows data based on your newly created Working List.
The number pulls data from the Working List that you linked to it. Clicking on this tile will open your Working List sorted by Last Engagement Date.
To change the associated list, click Change List.
A popup will display all of your Working Lists. Select your Working List and click LINK YOUR LIST.
The following tips will help you get the most out of your Working List:
- Work with your Business Development team to identify the relevant contacts and add them to a working list in InterAction+. Then link this tile to that list.
- Try and stick to a specific number of contacts or a number appropriate to the work type or practice you’re in. Remember, the more contacts you have, the less personal your outreaches will become.
- Review your list every month and use a “One in, One out” policy in the list. A new contact added to the list should mean removing one.
- Make sure these contacts don’t receive any digital marketing from the firm.
- Always think personal, not digital. Avoid sending automated messages when working with those on your Working List.
