Contact type tickets are created when a user either adds or removes a contact from a contact type.
Whether a ticket is generated is determined by the rules that have been set up for the contact type. You can define rules for both adding and removing a contact. For more information on configuring contact types for Data Change Management, see Out-of-the-Box Contact Data Change Management Settings.
For information on handling contact type and marketing list tickets, see the following sections:

Managing Tickets for Adding a Contact to a Contact Type
When a user adds a contact to a contact type or marketing list, a DCM ticket is created.
When viewing a contact type ticket, the summary for the ticket is ‘[Contact Type Name]’ Type Applied. For example, if a contact was added to the Prospect contact type, the summary shows 'Prospect' Type Applied.
When managing add contact type or marketing list tickets, you can choose Approve or Reject.
Managing Tickets for Removing a Contact from a Contact Type or Marketing List
When a user removes a contact from a contact type or marketing list, a DCM ticket is created.
When viewing a contact type ticket, the summary for the ticket is ‘[Contact Type Name]’ Type Removed. For example, if a contact was removed from the Prospect contact type, the summary shows ‘Prospect’ Type Removed.
When managing remove contact type or marketing list tickets, you can choose Approve or Reject.
