Use Data Change Management to control how new contacts and contact updates are reviewed before they are applied to firm data. The August 2026 release keeps the underlying New Contact Rules and Tickets workflow and updates where users access Data Change Management rule setup and ticket review in InterAction+ AI.
What changed
- New Contact Rules and Tickets have not changed, but the access path has changed.
- Contact Update Rule Sets are now located under Firm Settings.
- The Data Management Inbox supports grouping, sorting, filtering, saved views, column selection, and ticket export.
- Multi-ticket Processing lets data stewards group items by contact and review all record changes for that contact at once.
Who uses this
- New Contact Rules and Contact Update Rules: Data Stewards and Administrators.
- Ticket Inbox and Multi-ticket Processing: Data Stewards; Marketing team members may be secondary users.
Setup and access
- Users need access to Firm Settings > Data Management to review and edit rule sets.
- Data Management Inbox is enabled by default for users in the Data Administrators group.
- There are no data prerequisites or feature dependencies listed for the Ticket Inbox.
New Contact Rules and Tickets
New Contact Rules and Tickets are a UX redesign only. There is no change to the values in the dropdown menu.
Manage New Contact Rule Sets

Open Firm Settings > Data Management > DM New Contact Rule Sets.

Expand the Data Management dropdown and select DM New Contact Rule Sets.
- Click the pencil to edit a rule, or click + Add New Contact Rule Set to create a new rule set.

Edit the Rule Collection and click Save.
Contact Update Rules and Tickets
Contact Rule Sets are now located under Firm Settings > Data Management > DM Update Contact Rule Sets. From this area, administrators or data stewards can create or edit Rule Sets and Rule Collections.
Manage Update Contact Rule Sets

Open Firm Settings > Data Management > DM Update Contact Rule Sets.

Click Update Contact Rule Sets.

Click the pencil in the associated row to edit the current rule set, or click Add New Rule Set to create a new rule.
Manage Update Contact Rule Collections

Open Firm Settings > Data Management > DM Update Contact Rule Collections.

Click Update Contact Rule Collections.

Click the pencil in the associated row to edit the current rule set, or click Add New Rule Set to create a new rule.
- Give the collection a name.
- Select a starting rule collection to modify, or select none.
- Check the box and apply the action to the marked field as appropriate.
- Click Save Changes.
On the Contact Rule Set, the rule can only be set for User. External System is no longer an option.
Review tickets in the Data Management Inbox
Approving and rejecting tickets is consistent with the previous Data Change Management workflow. Ticket grouping, sorting, and filtering have changed.

Open Data Management Inbox.
- Click and drag columns to sort. Apply filters to column headers as needed.

Click the check box next to the contact name to open the pending change.
- Review the change in the panel.
- Click Approve or Reject.
Save, customize, and export the inbox view

Click Save View to save a view.
- Click Actions > Export Excel (CSV) to export the ticket list.

Click the Columns dropdown and select the columns to display in the grid.
Review multiple tickets for the same contact
Use Multi-ticket Processing when more than one edit, review, or contact type ticket is open for the same contact.
- Group the inbox by contact, then open a ticket for a contact with multiple tickets.

If more than one edit, review, or contact type ticket is open for the contact, the Enter Comprehensive Review button appears with the ticket count.

Click the button to open a modal that shows the fields impacted by the tickets.
- Select the preferred changes and approve all tickets.
- If tickets are impacting APE fields, edit final values before approving tickets.
- Click Save Changes.
